> Daniel Island, Charleston SC is reporting robust performance for the community’s real estate business in the January –May period. For the first five months 2014, Daniel Island Real Estate closed 96 transactions for more than $59 million in sales volume. That’s a 41% increase in dollar volume over the same time period in both 2013 and 201.

> Treasure Lake, DuBois PA is getting ready for an Old-Fashioned Independence Day Weekend celebration. All listed activities take place on Sat., July 5, in and around the Lakeview Lodge, beginning with a classic Dunking Booth event at 1 p.m. That’s followed by the Best Pie Contest, a bingo competition, Face Painting, Bubble Blowing, Hopscotch, Cola Ring Toss and Bean Bag Toss, then a Watermelon Eating Contest.

Colleton River Plantation, SC: Keeps golfers on course with wellness program.
> Colleton River Plantation, Bluffton SC is continuing a special mid-year wellness program. Fitness Friday, a five-hour resource and workout session that begins at 7 a.m., is a core of the program.
Also, last week Colleton residents began the 10,000 Steps Fitness Challenge, a chance to ensure approximately five miles of daily walking through use of a counter. Daniel Island, SC: Watch fireworks aboard the USS Yorktown.
> Daniel Island, Charleston SC residents are reserving their seats now for the Patriots Point 4th of July Fireworks event in Charleston Harbor. Launched from a barge in the Cooper River and viewed from the deck of one of the nation’s most historic warships, the aircraft carrier USS Yorktown, it’s a truly memorable display.
Flight Deck tickets are just $30 for adults and $10 for kids under 12. On deck of the Yorktown will be food stands, a bar and live music until sundown. Send me more information about Daniel Island!
