Reynolds Lake Oconee Hosts LPGA
Reynolds Lake Oconee, GA: Hosts LPGA on renovated course.
> Reynolds Lake Oconee, Greensboro, GA will host the LPGA Tour Drive On Championship Thur.-Sun., Oct. 22-25. The four-day, official full-field event will feature a purse of $1.3 million. Golf Channel will broadcast all four rounds with three hours of coverage each day. The event will be played at Great Waters, one of six outstanding courses available to Reynolds Members and guests.
Great Waters, which first opened in 1992, recently underwent an extensive renovation led by its designer, Jack Nicklaus. Reynolds stepped in to host the world’s best women golfers after the LPGA Tour was forced to change its fall schedule due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Sea Pines Hosts Wine Dinner
Sea Pines, SC: Hosts wine dinner this month.
> Sea Pines Resort, Hilton Head Island SC welcomes the return of Master Sommelier Larry O’Brien for the culinary kick-off of the 2020-21 Sea Pines Resort Food & Wine program, the Larry O’Brien Wine Dinner, happening two nights—Thur. and Fri., Oct. 1 and 2, from 6:30 to 8:30 each night.
Enjoy an exquisite menu created by Harbour Town Executive Chef Farid Ahmed with hand-selected wine pairings by Mr. O’Brien. Reservations required. Price is $89 per person, plus tax and gratuity.
