Connestee Falls is a private gated community in the Western North Carolina mountain college town of Brevard. Daniel Island, SC: Volunteers keep beaches clean.
> Daniel Island, Charleston SC is rounding up eager volunteers to take part in a longstanding island tradition. On Sun., Sept. 20, from 5 to 6 p.m., it’s the 27th Annual Island Beach Sweep, billed as the largest one-day litter cleanup of state beaches and waterways.
Check in at Children’s Park or come by boat, kayak, paddle board, etc. and get supplies to head out and hit the areas volunteers can’t reach from shore. Last year, 3,137 dedicated people on the coast collected nearly 17 tons of litter in this event. Send me more information about Daniel Island!
