Lakewood National Tournament
Lakewood National, FL: Tournament coming up this month.
> Lakewood National, Bradenton FL will host the LECOM Suncoast Classic, a tournament on the Korn Ferry Tour, during the week of Feb. 18-21. A field of 144 players will be competing for a $600,000 purse. Bleacher seating will not be available this year, but spectators are encouraged to bring their own chairs.
Hand washing and sanitizing stations will be available throughout the course. Attendees are required to maintain social distance and wear a mask or face covering when not eating or drinking. Palmetto Bluff Hosts Award-Winning Chef
Palmetto Bluff, SC: Hosts chef, Food Network star.
> Palmetto Bluff, Bluffton SC continues its Artist in Residence program March 15-19 when it hosts the award-winning chef and television personality, Maneet Chauhan. Born in Punjab, India, Chauhan worked in some of the country’s top hotels before pursuing a culinary career in the United States.
Now residing in Nashville, she is the executive chef and co-owner of Chauhan Ale & Masala House and co-owner of Mantra Artisan Ales. In 2012, Maneet received a James Beard Award for her role as a judge on the Food Network show “Chopped,” on which she remains a recurring member of the judges panel.
