Eagle Hatching at Dataw Island, SC
Dataw Island, SC: Eagle hatching caught on camera.
> Dataw Island, SC and the resident volunteers who staff the Data Island Conservancy are celebrating the on-camera hatching of two bald eagle chicks, named Skylar and Whisper. Last December the Conservancyās live āeagle camā recorded the laying of the first of the two eggs by the nesting pairās female.
A bald eagle egg typically takes 35 days to incubate, followed by a hatching process that can require as long as three full days. It takes another 10 to 12 weeks for the young eagles to become fully fledged. Send me more information about Dataw Island!
