Quail Ridge, FL: Celebrates age-shooting golfer.
> Quail Ridge Golf & Country Club, Boynton Beach FL extends its congratulations to resident member Bob Harris, who was featured in The New York Times two weeks ago for the astounding golf achievement of shooting his age nearly 900 times.
Harris, age 84, is a 4-handicap player who shoots his age most rounds he plays. The retired dentist from Minnesota recently became the oldest golfer ever to qualify for the Florida Senior Amateur Championship. Send me more information about Quail Ridge
MARTHA’S VINEYARD HAPPENINGS
> The Martha’s Vineyard Film Center in Tisbury Marketplace is fast becoming the place to go for movies and other events. Finished just last September in time for the annual MV International Film Festival, the theater has hosted musical events, an Oscars night, the Superbowl as well as a wide spectrum of films. Tonight’s showing is ‘Mud,’ which is fast becoming an Indie cult classic and features a strong performance by Matthew McConaughey.
Update: GolfCourseHome and WaterViewHome’s first-ever bricks and mortar location on Union Street in Vineyard Haven gets a new red oak floor tomorrow with painting soon after. We will be ordering touch screen monitors tomorrow for our digital showroom. We also hired a summer intern today to help launch the new office. Watch for photos of our new space soon!
