Hiking and History Event at Lake Arrowhead, GA
Lake Arrowhead, GA: Hiking and history event this month.
> Lake Arrowhead, Waleska GA has an informative event for residents upcoming on Sat., Sept. 14 from 9 to 11 a.m. with Prof. Donna Little of Reinhardt University. “Hiking and History with Donna” will take place along the Ridge Trail, a 1.2-mile loop rated as an intermediate-level hike.
The trail is cut into Pine Log Mountain, well-known to Great Depression and New Deal historians as the site of Camp Rieley, a Civilian Conservation Camp for unemployed farmers and laborers that produced a fire tower and various other facilities on the mountaintop. Live Music at Woodside, SC
Woodside, SC: Music event coming up this month.
> Woodside, Aiken SC is inviting residents to an evening of live music on Fri., Sept. 27 from 6 to 8 p.m., featuring North Carolina-based singer/songwriter Joshua Kendrick.
The venue for the event is The Village Café, in the heart of the community’s “town center,” The Village at Woodside. The Café will be open late that evening serving beer, wine, coffee beverages, gelato and light snacks. This event is free and open to the public. Send me more information about Woodside!
