GOLF Magazine Honors The Landings, GA Director
The Landings, GA: Home of award winning instructors.
> The Landings, Savannah GA announced that its director of golf instruction, Joe Plecker, had been named to the GOLF Magazine list of the Top 100 Teachers in the U.S for 2021-22.
This is Plecker’s third consecutive award from GOLF Magazine. In the bi-annual selection process for the Top 100, he completed a rigorous application and was reviewed by an array of committees and editors.
Among his many additional honors, Plecker is a current member of the PGA of America’s National Faculty. Send me more information about The Landings!
Desert Mountain Opens Junior Academy
Desert Mountain, AZ: Opens junior sports academy.
> Desert Mountain, Scottsdale AZ has partnered with DiscoverGolf, an innovator in junior golf programming, to establish a one-of-a-kind Junior Sports Academy, focusing on golf and tennis enthusiasts age four to 17.
The DiscoverGolf curriculum includes original “game designs” with names like “Croctology,” “King Putt,” “Freak Fighter’’ and “Nutcluster.”
These boredom–beating games are rooted in simulator golf, the Topgolf experience and other golf spinoffs. The DiscoverGolf game system and methodology has reached more than 7,000 young golfers worldwide and is in use at more than 250 golf facilities on five continents.
