Kingsmill Photo Contest
Kingmill, VA: Photo contest will capture special moments.
> Kingsmill on the James, Williamsburg VA is conducting an amateur photo contest entitled “My Kingsmill Moments” and soliciting entries from all guests wishing to participate.
Entries consist of a single photograph plus a brief caption-style explanation of why the image is significant.
Winner of the contest will be treated to a complimentary two-night-stay in a 1BR condo with breakfast, along with complimentary bike rentals. Deadline for submission of entries is Jan 31. Send me more information about Kingsmill!
Reynolds Learning Series Continues
Reynolds Lake Oconee, GA: Upcoming lecture Jan. 19.
> Reynolds Lake Oconee, Greensboro, GA continues its lifelong-learning program, the “Linger Longer Living Room Lectures,” with a literary installment scheduled for Tue., Jan. 19 at 5 p.m. on the closed-circuit MyReynolds TV channel.
The event is titled, “Atlanta’s Margaret Mitchell House: The Surprising Preservation Journey.” Dave Thomas, historian and professional docent, will narrate the program.
Thomas helped to open the Margaret Mitchell House and Museum to the public in 1997 and served as manager for several years. Send me more information about Reynolds Lake Oconee!
