Red Ledges, UT reports a significant uptick in home construction; Woodside Plantation, SC is expanding its clubhouse, and Kiawah Island, SC, whose “House of the Day” in the Wall Street Journal was recently voted “most popular” by WSJ readers, reports single-family home sales up 19% in 2011. > The Landings on Skidaway Island, GA just completed its ninth annual Adopt an Angel Program on behalf of The Landings community.
The program assists local charities in their efforts to make Christmas memorable and joyful for families in the Savannah area. This year The Landings adopted angels from Wesley Community Center, Union Mission and Safe Shelter.
Gifts included microwave ovens, pot and pans and household items, plus iPods, books, clothing and sports items for the teenagers plus stuffed animals and educational toys for the youngest angels. Send me more information about The Landings!
> Red Ledges, Heber City UT reports vigorous construction activity at the community. Currently there are seven homes in various stages of construction.
Plans for eight others are undergoing architectural review while three more families are readying their plans for the Architectural Review Committee.
Recently eight homes were approved for occupancy, bringing the 2011 total for homes completed to 15. By mid-2012 there will be a minimum of thirty homes constructed at Red Ledges, a 300 percent increase from 2010. Send me more information about Red Ledges!
> Kiawah Island, SC reports record results from its 34th Annual Kiawah Marathon, held last month. More than 3,000 runners took to Kiawah’s streets for the event, which includes a Half Marathon.
For the first time ever, the Kiawah Island Golf Resort, the race’s host organization, offered $12,500 in prize money for runners finishing first, second-and third in the full and half marathons.
Prized also went to runners who broke a Kiawah Course Record. Race conditions were ideal for competitors and spectators alike, with temperatures in the mid-50s, and very little wind.

> River Landing, Wallace NC has started up its Vineyards Wine Club, led by its culinary staff experts and designed as a fun, social way to educate members on wine varieties from around the globe.
The club will hold monthly events and offer members an automatic 10 percent off all wines in stock at the shop—15 percent on case purchases.
In addition, there will be a reduced corkage fee at both the Mad Boar and the Clubhouse for Wine Club members.
