Governor’s Land Pays Tribute to Early Settler
> Governor’s Land at Two Rivers, Williamsburg VA recently co-hosted a ceremony and presentation highlighting its significance as a historic site. Taking part were representatives of the Smithsonian Institution and he James River Institute of Archeology and acting as co-host was Virginia Society of the Order of Founders and Patriots of America.
The greater purpose of the event was reburial of the remains of one of the first American settlers, whose remains were discovered during an archeological survey in 1990. Young Sailors Will Take to the Waters
Governor’s Land at Two Rivers, VA: Sailing director will lead camp.
> Governor’s Land at Two Rivers, Williamsburg VA invites all levels of sailors to take part in the club’s 2016 Youth Sailing Camp, led by sailing program director Sam Foxx.
This one-week course is open to the public and will be offered from 9:30 a.m. – 3 p.m. daily for the following three weeks: June 27 – July 1, July 5 – July 9 and July 11 – July 15.
