Indian River CC, Fl: Veteran assistance program funded.
> Indian River Colony Club, Melbourne-Viera FL, through its Indian River Colony Club Foundation, recently partnered with two area nonprofit organizations to aid homeless and low-income veterans.
The Foundation presented checks last month totaling $8,000 to Veterans Connections to a New Life as well as to National Veterans Homeless Support.

> Sea Trail Plantation, Sunset Beach NC will be led by its POA in a charitable activity to address hunger and nutritional insecurity throughout Brunswick County on Sat., June 14 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sun., June 15 from 9 to 11 a.m.
Known as the PORCH Food Collection, this effort is Sea Trail-wide and will be conducted periodically through the year. Sea Trail residents will assist by dropping off food and/or volunteering to help organize. Send me more information about Sea Trail Plantation!

Palmetto Dunes, SC: Hosts cooking and food demonstration.
> Palmetto Dunes, Hilton Head Island SC invites residents with enjoy sport fishing and cuisine to a special demonstration at the community’s fine-dining restaurant, Alexander’s on Sun., June 25 at 2 p.m. The event will be led by the resort community’s executive chef, Charles Pejeau.
Attendees will learn expert tips for how to prepare, clean, cut and cook their fresh catch. Fee is $25 per person, which includes a glass of sparkling wine and a culinary gift to take home.
