Ford’s Colony, VA Golf Fundraiser
Ford’s Colony, VA: Recent fundraiser raised $72,000.
> Ford’s Colony, Williamsburg VA recently held the 27th playing of a golf fundraiser to support the health and wellness of area residents in need.
In cooperation with the Olde Towne Medical and Dental Center, the Ford’s Colony men’s golf association played a Challenge Tournament that helped generate a $72,000 contribution to the cause for 2022. This brought the total Ford’s Colony men’s golf association contribution to almost $1.3 million over the 27 years of the event. Send me more information about Ford’s Colony!

Sea Pines Resort, SC: Hosts upcoming Shrimp Festival.

> The Club at Quail Ridge, Boynton Beach FL is pleased to report that the daughter of Joseph Ramsey, who is the club’s director of golf and grounds, had earned a $2,500 scholarship in this year’s Garske Grants program, co-sponsored by the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America and the Par Aide company.
The girl, Avalon Ramsey will attend the University of Central Florida to major in forensic science. Grants are based on community service, leadership, academic performance and a written essay. Send me more information about Quail Ridge!
Desert Mountain, AZ and USGA Hosts Championships
Desert Mountain, AZ will host upcoming championships.
> Desert Mountain, Scottsdale AZ and the United States Golf Association (USGA) have jointly announced that the Desert Mountain Club will host the 2026 U.S. Amateur Four-Ball Championship and the 2029 U.S. Women’s Amateur Four-Ball Championship. These will be the second and third USGA championships held at the club. The Cochise Course at Desert Mountain played host to the 1999 U.S. Senior Women’s Amateur Championship.
