> Desert Mountain, Scottsdale AZ marked the 25th anniversary of its Desert Mountain CARE community-wide giving program, which this year reached the $8.6 million mark in local donations to the Mayo Clinic of Arizona and HonorHealth Research Institute.
The funds are devoted to supporting world-class cancer research. Through this program, Desert Mountain members work with doctors and medical researchers to hand-select the projects funded by CARE, which stands for Cancer Awareness through Research and Education. > Sea Pines Resort, Hilton Head Island SC has named Patrick O’Keefe as its new Director of Tennis, succeeding Job de Boer who retired in June after 30 years. O’Keefe previously served as Director of Tennis at Hidden Valley Country Club in Salem, Virginia, and as a coach to notable college-bound junior players at the Smith Stearns Tennis Academy.
He holds a business degree from Radford University where he was a four-year varsity athlete, 2015 Big South Player of the Year, and a two-time All Big-South First Team Player. Quail Ridge offers two championship 18-hole golf courses designed by Joe Lee and recently updated by Kip Schulties.
In addition to two golf courses, the community has extensive practice facilities and tee times are readily available. Five sets of tees allow for all to play to their own level.

Desert Mountain Continues Research Donations
Desert Mountain, AZ: Continues medical research efforts.
> Desert Mountain, Scottsdale AZ marked the 25th anniversary of its Desert Mountain CARE community-wide giving program, which this year reached the $8.6 million mark in local donations to the Mayo Clinic of Arizona and HonorHealth Research Institute.
The funds are devoted to supporting world-class cancer research. Through this program, Desert Mountain members work with doctors and medical researchers to hand-select the projects funded by CARE, which stands for Cancer Awareness through Research and Education.
