Strong Fiscal Health at Desert Mountain
Desert Mtn., AZ: Enjoying new members, home closings.
> Desert Mountain, Scottsdale AZ recently provided a detailed report of the community’s strong fiscal health, despite difficulties posed by the coronavirus pandemic. In 2020 more than 100 new members have been added across all categories, including golf, lifestyle, and junior legacy. Nearly 100,000 member rounds of golf have been played, up 33% year over year.
Coming off 2019’s all-time record for custom-home sales volume of over $225 million, real estate sales are on track to surpass this with 78 custom home closings ($174,923, 892) since January, and 24 additional sales currently pending. Nature Lovers Needed at Balsam Mountain
Balsam Mountain, NC: Seeking nature-loving volunteers.
> Balsam Mountain Preserve, Sylva NC is currently seeking volunteers to take part in the Balsam Mountain Trust’s nature and wildlife preservation programs. The Trust’s volunteers, who must be 16 or older, are dedicated individuals with a passion for the natural world.
The Trust cares for birds of prey, native reptiles and other species. It also recruits volunteer educators who present the mountain community’s natural history to both public and private audiences, assisting with school programs and public events as scheduled.
