Originally from the Italian town of Nettuno, south of Rome, Cocuzza was a club general manager for 15-plus years in his home country before coming to the U.S. He served as Chairman of the Club Managers Association of Europe, representing all golf and country clubs in continental Europe. Successful Blood Drives at Ford’s Colony


Ford’s Colony, VA: Continues successful blood drives.

> Fordā€™s Colony, Williamsburg VA Ā has successfully continued its regular program of on-site blood drives in partnership with the Red Cross. Recently the community set up its donation center in its newly renovated Magnolia Room. Even with the need to observe all required COVID-19 guidelines and restrictions, the goal of 50 donations was reached and exceeded.

There are plans to continue having blood drives as long as possible through the remainder of the year, while fulfilling the requirement that all donations be by appointment, that each donor must wear a mask and have their temperature taken at the front door, that all hands are sanitized, and all donors be checked in electronically. Ford’s Colony, VA: Community club makes masks.

> Fordā€™s Colony, Williamsburg VA Ā applauds the efforts of an activity group in the community that has been contributing to health safety in the Williamsburg area during the Covid pandemic. The 15-member Fordā€™s Colony Craft Club has been busy making cloth non-surgical masks for local hospitals, health facilities, continuing care communities, friends and neighbors.

By a recent count, they had sewn over 1,500 masks. Members and other Fordā€™s Colony residents have donated fabric and elastic needed to make the masks. Send me more information about Fordā€™s Colony!

> Sea Pines Resort, Hilton Head Island SC has created a special gift card package to raise funds for resort employees whose jobs were impacted by the coronavirus outbreak. Revenue from sales of the packageā€”a dollar-amount gift card, plus an amenity discount cardā€”will also benefit the Heritage Classic Foundation.

In normal years, the RBC Heritage tournament raises $3 million dollars, which is distributed to regional charities as well as to the Foundation.

> Fordā€™s Colony, Williamsburg VA Ā will hold its annual Community Yard Sale on Sat. Oct. 12 from 8 a.m. until noon. Any resident wishing to be a vendor should bring items offered for sale to a designated side on Waller Mill Road. Cost to participate is just $20.
