Palmetto Dunes Adds to Lowcountry Golf Hall
Palmetto Dunes, SC: Golf instructor, artist honored.
> Palmetto Dunes, Hilton Head Island SC reports that its longtime Director of Golf Instruction, Doug Weaver, has been selected for induction into the Lowcountry Golf Hall of Fame. A former PGA Tour player, Weaver has coached for 23 years — the past 13 serving as Palmetto Dunes’ highly respected Director of Golf Instruction.
Weaver and famed landscape artist Linda Hartough were selected as the Lowcountry Golf Hall of Fame’s third induction class. They join Sea Pines founders Charles Fraser and Joseph Fraser Jr., and other familiar Lowcountry names previously inducted.
The 2017 ceremony is scheduled April 1 at Moss Creek Golf Club with Bob Collar serving as master of ceremonies and 13-time LPGA Tour winner Rosie Jones speaking. Send me more information about Palmetto Dunes!

> Daniel Island, Charleston SC reports a strong start to 2017 real estate activity. The community’s real estate company experienced its busiest and best January since 2008, with 15 properties closing, for over $8 million in sales volume.
