Indian River Colony Club, FL: Shows continues support for vets.

> Indian River Colony Club, Melbourne-Viera FL was well represented earlier this month at a medal-pinning ceremony for the We Honor Veterans Program conducted by St. Francis Lifestage Care.

The community’s charitable arm, the IRCC Foundation, has been a longstanding financial supporter of We Honor Veterans. At the ceremony, some 40 Veterans were recognized, pinned, “coined”, and given certificates. Send me more information about Indian River Colony Club!

 

Palmetto Bluff Launches Arts Initiative

Sea Pines, SC: Country club staff earns special recognition.

> Sea Pines Resort, Hilton Head Island SC recently announced that staff member Robert Ames, general manager of Sea Pines Country Club, had attained the designation of Certified Club Manager (CCM) from the Club Management Association of America.

Ames was one of just 32 professionals nationally to earn this distinction in 2021. The CCM designation goes to a club management professional who has completed a rigorous course of study and training and demonstrates a dedication to proficiency and expertise in the field. Celebration at Dataw Island

Dataw Island, SC: Festival included boat parade.

> Dataw Island, SC celebrated another fun and highly successful Winter Festival Weekend on Dec. 11, 12 and 13. Activity clubs were busy putting up holiday decorations at various parts of the island, including a Christmas lights display in Dataw’s famed Butterfly Garden, courtesy of the Garden Club.

Festivities over the three days included a nighttime boat parade with strings of lights along masts and rigging, a cocktail party at the Carolina Ballroom, a parade of decorated golf carts and a Luminary Night to conclude the festivities.  Send me more information about Dataw Island!

The Landings, GA Hosts 2022 Club Car Championship


The Landings, GA: Set to host Club Car Championship.

> The Landings, Savannah GA has officially signed on with the PGA Tour as host site of the 2022 Club Car Championship at The Landings Club, a four-day, 72-hole tournament on the Korn Ferry Tour, the major circuit’s developmental tour.

Scheduled for March 31- April 3, the event carries a total purse of $600,000 and will be contested on the community’s award-winning Deer Creek golf course.

Veteran Memorial at Treasure Lake

Treasure Lake, PA: Honors veterans, raises funds and more.

> Treasure Lake, DuBois PA is continuing its efforts to establish a veterans memorial in the community, to honor military service men and women.

Staffed by resident volunteers, the Treasure Lake Grant and Fundraising Committee is overseeing efforts to raise funds for the project, primarily through the sale memorial inscribed bricks.

Construction plans call for the memorial structure to be built below the community’s Lakeview Lodge, near the gazebo at lake’s edge. Send me more information about Treasure Lake!
