The Landings on Skidaway Island, GA is recognizing the environmental contributions of The Landings Recycling Center, which this month marks four years of operation.
Since its opening on Jan. 11, 2008, the Recycling Center has saved 1,491 tons of paper, 316 tons of cardboard and 165 tons of plastic from being dumped in local landfills.
Aluminum recycling there is managed by a local Boy Scout troop and the Southside Fire Department. Residents help the center’s staff keep the facility looking its best. Send me more information about The Landing!
