> Kiawah Island, SC presents weekly evening events at its Freshfields Village center. Every Friday night through August 27 “Music on the Green” presents, free and family-friendly live performances from 6 to 9 p.m. Musical styles include rock, blues, jazz, country, soul, and disco underneath the stars.
On Wednesday evenings all summer it’s Starlight Cinema. Grab a beach chair, pack a picnic, and head to Freshfields Village for free outdoor movies. Screenings take place on the village green at 8:30 p.m. Send me more information about Kiawah Island!

Moss Creek Plantation, SC: New sun shades at tennis complex.
> Moss Creek Plantation, Hilton Head Island SC has approved a proposal from the Tennis Facility Advisory Committee for installation of a sun shade over the benches along court 7. The new structure has been contracted with Coastal Canvas, who has installed other canvas structures in the community.
Under the leadership of tennis professional Tom Ruth, Moss Creek’s tennis program is thriving and expanding. A recent Friday night “Tennis Pro League” event drew an estimated crowd of 300, including more than 125 from outside of Moss Creek. Send me more information about Moss Creek!
