Palmetto Bluff, SC: Learn about local wildlife.
> Palmetto Bluff, Bluffton SC continues its wildlife education program for residents with presentation on “Winter Raptors of Beaufort County,” coming up on Wed., Dec. 9 from 12 noon to 1 p.m. Led by Aaron Palmieri, the Palmetto Bluff Conservancy educator, the seminar’s format will be a Virtual Brown Bag Lunch, taking a close look at the large diversity of raptors that grace the Lowcountry skies each winter. Indian River Colony Club Fundraiser
Indian River Colony Club, FL: Holds benefit for veterans.
> Indian River Colony Club, Melbourne-Viera FL held a walkathon fundraiser earlier this month to benefit Brevard County military veterans in need. Wearing red, white and blue colors, a contingent of 60-plus community walkers, sponsored by the Residents Activity Council at IRCC, raised $1,722 for veterans adversely affected by the pandemic.
The Indian River Colony Club community of nearly 800 homes is a dedicated supporter of veterans causes. In 2019, it received the Outstanding Military Service Award for ongoing efforts on behalf of veterans. Send me more information about Indian River Colony Club!
