Indian River Colony Club Honors Veterans
Indian River Colony Club, FL: Continues work on behalf of vets.
> Indian River Colony Club, Melbourne-Viera FL announced that its charitable arm, the Indian River Colony Club Foundation, had presented a $5,000 check to Veterans Connections to a New Life, a Central Florida-based not-for-profit organization that provides free services to veterans.
The funds donated to the 501(c)(3) organization follow a similar $5,000 donation from the IRCC Foundation in 2021 and will help ensure returning military veterans successfully transition back to civilian life after the completion of their service. Dataw Island Hosts Women’s Singles Tournament
Dataw Island, SC: Hosted Women’s Singles tournament last week.
> Dataw Island, SC reports that Croquet Club of Dataw Island had conducted its annual Women’s Singles tournament April 1-2 on the community’s two croquet lawns, with a fine turnout of spectators to support the contestants.
The club is an affiliate of the Coastal Croquet Clubs, an organization founded to foster the growth of croquet in the coastal South.
Several regional events are hosted each year by Dataw Island, including 6-wicket, Aussie croquet and a USCA-sanctioned tournament.
